Welcome to PVYA Basketball!
PVYA offers basketball to Girls and Boys in K-12th grades. All practices for elementary students are held at Brunswick Area Schools. Middle school teams practice at Brunswick Middle or the elementary schools with games taking place at the middle school or other Frederick County Middle Schools.
Instructional League (WINTER)
PVYA sponsors a league for kids who are interested in learning the fundamentals of basketball and get experience playing games with their school friends at local gyms. Your player will receive a PVYA uniform shirt, practice twice per week and play 8 total games. The games will feature referees, a scoreboard and certified coaching. The In-House League will be available for kids Kindergarten through 8th grade.
Monocacy Youth Basketball League Teams (WINTER)
PVYA matriculates one MYBA team in each available age classification (U10-U14) for both girls and boys. These teams will travel to sites in and near to Frederick County and play games vs. teams from other area youth associations (Middletown, Frederick, Walkersville, Catoctin, etc.) These teams will play half of their games locally at the BMS gym and half of their games at the home gyms of their opponents. These teams will play 8 regular season games, plus a post-season tournament.
SPRING Basketball
Starting in early April, teams will play games locally at Brunswick Middle School, Brunswick City Park or Point of Rocks Local Park.

Travel FALL Basketball
Starting in early September, teams will play games locally at Brunswick Middle School, Brunswick City Park or Point of Rocks Local Park.
Teams will play 8 regular season games, plus a post-season tournament.
High School Registration
On November 18th all 9th through 12 grade boys should plan to come to Brunswick High School Cafeteria at 1:00 pm to register or register online before November 13th.

The basketball program, like all programs within PVYA, is volunteer-based and the coaching staff is typically parents of players. We are always looking for volunteers to run each level of play and to coach. If interested please email the coordinator.
